What Homecoming Means to Texas Southern University Alumni
Homecoming at Texas Southern University is an annual highlight for the campus and the community, celebrating HBCU joy and culture. A highly anticipated and important event, Homecoming allows Texas Southern alumni and students to connect with their communities and to forge relationships between different generations of students and alumni.

HOW TO NAVIGATE TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY’S HOMECOMING
Be sure to order your TSU Alumni Homecoming Box!
Drink water beginning Wednesday!
Get your tickets or RSVP to all events ahead of time. Waiting until the day of might result in no admission!
Inform your family and non-TSU friends that you will be hard to reach from Friday - Sunday!
If it rains, Homecoming is STILL going to be packed. It never rains on the Ocean!
On Thursday, drink more water than you did on Wednesday!
Have your outfits ready to go. You will not have time to make it to the mall like you think you will!
Remember to be the 3 Cs: Cute, casual and comfortable!
Attend Yard Fest on Friday to get the latest alumni gear!
A trip to Frenchy’s Chicken is an absolute must!
Make sure your Friday night pre-game consists of plenty of water!
DON’T miss The Black Experience Alumni Homecoming Party on Friday. You will be upset with yourself for missing it when you see all of the photos!
Bring your lawn chair to the tailgate…especially if you plan on posting up at multiple tents!
Charge your phone and bring a portable charger.
There is no concept of time. Hours and hours will pass at the tailgate and you will have no knowledge of what time it is!
Know your limits…in all things. Tailgating, food and beverage consumption, hanging out WAY past what your body can handle, etc.
Have a designated driver for after the tailgate. We want to see you at Homecoming 2026!
Sunday Funday in Houston is REAL. Wear your TSU gear to represent when you’re out and about!
TAKE MONDAY OFF…your body will absolutely need it!
