The Alumni Ball is our most important fundraising event of the year that will fund our student programs and alumni initiatives. It will be a formal event organized to connect, celebrate, and unite our alumni community that will include live entertainment, DJs, an auction, casino area, and food.
The committee will be responsible for the planning and execution of the ball.
Frequency: Annual

The goal is to have alumni go into the classroom on the same day in various departments and speak to students about their career experiences and provide career path advice. This initiative will take place quarterly and will help build a bridge between students and TSUNAA.
This committee will work with deans of the various schools/colleges to develop the logistics.
Frequency: Semi-annual

In partnership with the University Placement Office, TSUNAA is offering students invaluable training such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and etiquette.
The committee will be responsible for coordinating the event, finding alumni professionals that can assist with resumés, mock interviews, social, business, and table etiquette, and work with clothing corporations to secure business attire for students entering the workforce.

TSU will celebrate 100 years of existence in 2027. TSUNAA wants to make a lasting impact on our institution through campus enhancements, alumni giving and a erecting a permanent alumni structure.
The committee will be responsible for creating ways for alumni to engage with the university during that monumental year.

TSUNAA is looking to strengthen our relationship with corporations in an effort for them contribute resources to achieve our shared goals regarding TSU students and alumni. We have developed a variety of projects and initiatives that provide opportunities for partnership and corporate engagement.
The committee will identify potential partners, create sponsorship packages, engage prospects, and secure partners.

An Educator Ambassador is an alumnus who works in education and serves as a TSU representative to promote the University on your campus.
Send items to ambassadors to decorate their classrooms to showcase our beloved alma mater. Work with the Admissions Office to schedule TSU campus tours as well as be in touch with you to schedule visits to your campus.

TSUNAA is establishing a scholarship endowment that will fund student scholarships annually. Our goal is to raise $300 thousand dollars to establish the endowment.
The committee will manage the fundraising campaign.
Frequency: 1 - 2 years

The Fundraising Committee's purpose is to raise money to help finance the various projects that will help the Association achieve its mission. It will do this by helping to identify opportunities for funding as well as engage key stakeholders in the process.
The committee will develop a Fundraising Plan, manage fundraising events and campaigns, and track and report on progress.

The Give Back Campaign will fund our scholarships to support TSU students for the Fall and Spring semesters.
The committee plans and executes fundraising activities for the campaign including identifying alumni donors, create the overall campaign strategy, make recommendations and address challenges that may arise.

This inaugural event will be a day like no other. TSUNAA is creating a day of activities providing students with an understanding of the values, history, and traditions of TSU. There will be a scavenger hunt, information sessions, an alumni/student dinner and more.

Homecoming is the most highly anticipated TSU event where generations of our alumni come home to reconnect and reengage with the university. There will be a week long of events that TSUNAA will host.

The TSU Tiger Internship Program (TSU TIP) is designed to provide students with practical experience and professional development.
This committee will be responsible for managing the internship process with identifying employers and prospective students.

The purpose of TSUNAA hosting this event is to create a more familial environment amongst the University and 3rd Ward community. This event provides alumni, faculty, and staff the opportunity to bring their families to the University for an evening of fun, relaxation, and community.
The committee will plan and execute all aspects of this evening.

Based on feedback from our active membership, TSUNAA is looking for ways to better support all TSU alumni (e.g. Affinity Groups, Regions, lower cost model, national programs, membership types).
This committee will be responsible for reviewing the Association’s current structure and processes and make recommendations of changes to the structure, systems, and processes to achieve its goals and objectives more effectively.
Time Committment: 6 months

We are committed to engaging members in addressing issues that affect TSU by fostering awareness and taking on an active role. Our goal is to advocate for this great institution at the local and state level while actively participating in special events.
This committee will be responsible for strategizing how alumni can be most impactful in addressing matters that affect TSU and our community at large.

TSUNAA is leading the charge in cultivating a tradition of tailgating at the football home and away games. It is vital to have a committee to plan the logistics, promote the tailgate, manage volunteers, and enhance the overall game day experience.
This committee will be responsible for will set up tailgate equipment, coordinate the food, activities, volunteers, and event breakdown.
Time Commitment: 4 months

The Yard Experience offers prospective students the chance to explore the campus, participate in an admissions presentation, engage with student ambassadors, join in a festive alumni tailgate, and witness an exciting TSU football game.
This committee will work with the Office of Admissions to plan and execute the event.

A national Alumni Day of Service for Tigers in their communities to do a service project in the spirit of TSU.
This committee will coordinate service projects nationally for alumni in that area to come together and serve.

The annual Tiger Family Day that will serve as an annual fundraising event. It will be a day of fun and frolic for TSU alumni and their families.
The committee will be responsible for planning and executing the event.

Supports and recognizes legacy students and future TSU Tigers. Incoming students can be considered for the TSU Legacy scholarship if at least one of their parents or grandparents previously attended TSU. The program will also include Legacy Days and Legacy Tiger Cub Gifts.

This initiative is an avenue for our alumni to prepare the next generation of TSU leaders. This includes information sessions for leaders of student organizations. Students will learn more about our organization and the skills TSU Men and TSU Women practice to become leaders.

The newly formed TSUNAA Male and Female Student Initiative provides a forum for alumni to share life lessons and advice to students about what it means to be a TSU Man and a TSU Woman.
