About the TSU Tiger Internship Program (TSU TIP):

The Texas Southern University National Alumni Association, in partnership with Texas Southern University and Workforce Solutions, has created the TSU Tiger Internship Program to provide students with practical experience and professional development. These experiences are focused on student learning outcomes related to their degree programs. Internships are available in all job families and solution areas.  This program is open to all current Texas Southern University undergraduate students.

Internships are a great way for students to go beyond campus and develop the behaviors and skills/core competencies that all employees must possess to excel in their career.

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled undergraduate students.

    International students who hold a valid visa throughout the duration of the program are eligible to apply.

    Candidates should have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA

    Candidates must be available to live and work in the metroplex of the city of the internship during the internship.

Summer Internship Guidelines

Applicants who have passed the pre-screening process will be notified of the next step in the application. The TSU TIP team will coordinate the interviews between candidates and summer internship businesses. All accepted candidates are expected to attend the entire 8-week program. Should accepted candidates be unable to attend the program, they must inform the TSU TIP team as soon as possible. During the internship, the mentor will be responsible for assignments of tasks and supervision of intern’s progress. At the end of the internship, the student will return to Texas Southern University for an end of summer internship event.
